New Hampshire Number 5????
The New Hampshire Senate voted yesterday to allow same-sex couples to marry, setting the state in motion to become the fifth in the country to legalize same-sex marriage. In a 13-to-11 vote, the state's Senate passed the bill and now it is all left up to Governor Lynch (who is a Democrat) to either pass it by signing it into law or veto it. The Senator has been a an opponent of same-sex marriages in the past so it is unclear what he will choose to do. I am hoping he does the right thing and joins his fellow New England states in the movement for equal rights for all. Massachusetts and Vermont already allow same-sex couples to wed.
