Way Awesome!

Not only has the work of the Federal Government become more transparent under President Barack Obama and his administration, but Obama also adds a personableness to government. Gone are the days (at least for now anyways) when Federal Government seemed like a secret club where people who were smarter than you and better than you made all the decisions that affected you, with the White House serving as the poster child. Nowadays, even the White House is a friendly and fun place to be. Look at the cool photos of Tony Hawk skateboarding down the hall of the grand foyer and nearby the Old Executive Office Building (with the permission of White House officials ofcourse).

Hawk, along with other athletes and celebrities, were at the White House for the Father's Day celebration and forum that President Obama hosted this past Friday. Some local youth were also invited to picnic and be mentored by the celebrity fathers. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay helped man the barbecue grills for a White House picnic for the attendees, which included NBA players Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat and Etan Thomas of the Washington Wizards.

According to President Obama, the main goal of the celebration and forum was to "begin a national conversation on responsible fatherhood and healthy families." One of the topics of the forum was embracing your responsibilities as a father. The celebrity dads also visited several charities in the D.C. area that day to spread some cheer. I really love and admire how President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama bring a sense of community to our nation.
(Tony is too rad for wearing his skate shoes with his suit. Can we say Badass;) And for those haters saying Tony skateboarding at the White House was disrespectful and inappropriate, stfu. He asked for permission! The President didn't have a problem with it, so why should you?!
