Light It Up

Power outages suck. They suck really, really, really bad. Ours went out due to the storm here. And of course we have the wonderful luck of living in an older neighborhood built in 1972 where all the power lines are above ground. 96% of the time whenever there is a hurricane or regular storm, we lose power for hours. Sometimes it's a couple of hours if it's a mild to moderate storm, but during a severe thunderstorm or hurricane we can been without power for up to 4 days. So I am sitting here in the dark, blogging on my cell phone, and thinking that Florida has very wonderful beaches and amusement parks, but it sure as hell as it's disadvantages too. Well, Florida IS the thunderstorm capital of the United States and the lightning capital of the world, what else should I expect?
